In Solidarity with the Movement for Black Lives

The Scherman Foundation stands in solidarity with the movement for Black lives and against police violence and terror. We recognize the systemic racism and economic and social inequity in which our country is so deeply rooted, and the pain and injustice it has caused in Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities. We pledge to listen and learn from you—our grantees, colleagues, and allies—as we strive to become more anti-racist in practice. As we seek to be stronger allies in dismantling white supremacy, the Foundation will support the leadership of frontline communities of color, trusting them to define the right questions and solutions. We hope you will join us, and hold us accountable.
